Architectural Technologist

Our architectural firm is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team in Faro. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture and construction, with a focus on technical design and project management. This is a contract position with a salary of 1300$ per week, and does not include accommodation. A valid biometric passport is required for this position.

As an Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of building projects, from conceptualization to completion. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will be essential in producing accurate drawings and specifications.

Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects to develop design concepts for building projects
- Prepare detailed technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess feasibility of proposed designs
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and timelines
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of construction projects
- Monitor progress of projects and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to plans
- Perform quality assurance checks on completed work to ensure compliance with building codes and standards

Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in architectural technology or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in architectural design or construction field
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
