Interpreter (Spanish-Portuguese)


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Interpreter to join our team in Almada. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between Spanish and Portuguese speakers by accurately translating spoken words and written documents. You must have a thorough understanding of both languages and be able to maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between Spanish and Portuguese speakers, accurately translating conversations, speeches, meetings, and written documents
- Listen carefully to speakers and interpret their words with accuracy and cultural sensitivity
- Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation as needed
- Assist with the preparation of materials for interpretation, such as notes or glossaries
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Keep up-to-date with industry terminology in both languages

Requirements:
- Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese (both written and spoken)
- Proven experience as an interpreter preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Professionalism, discretion, and cultural sensitivity
- Willingness to travel if required

Salary: $1800 per month (with accommodation provided)
Location: Almada, Portugal
