Interpreter (Malayalee) - Shan, China


We are hiring a skilled Interpreter to join our team in Shan, China. As an Interpreter, your main responsibility will be to facilitate communication between English-speaking and Malayalee-speaking individuals. You will use your fluency in both languages to accurately translate verbal and written conversations, documents, and other materials.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent proficiency in both English and Malayalam, as well as strong communication skills. You must also have a deep understanding of cultural differences and be able to adapt your interpretation accordingly.

Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpretation for verbal conversations between English and Malayalee speakers
- Translate written documents from English to Malayalam and vice versa
- Assist with cultural mediation and adaptation during meetings or events
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Research terminology specific to the industry or subject matter being discussed
- Attend training sessions or workshops to improve interpreting skills

Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and Malayalam (written and spoken)
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to remain impartial and unbiased while interpreting
- Knowledge of cultural differences between English-speaking countries and Kerala, India (preferred)
- Proven experience as an interpreter or similar role is a plus

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of 1700$ per month for this full-time position. In addition, the company will provide accommodation for non-local employees.
