Typesetter for Publishing Company


We are a well-established publishing company based in Washington, seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our team. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for printed materials such as books, magazines, and newspapers. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines will be crucial for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Format and arrange text and images using software programs such as Adobe InDesign
- Proofread materials for spelling, grammar, and layout errors
- Collaborate with editors, writers, and designers to ensure the final product meets quality standards
- Follow specifications for font type, size, spacing, and line breaks
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure consistency throughout the publication
- Meet tight deadlines without compromising quality

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in graphic design or related field is a plus
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role in a publishing environment
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign and other typesetting software programs
- Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of $1600 per month for this position.
