Merchandiser for Indian Market in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

We are seeking a highly-motivated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team in Plovdiv and manage our Indian market. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and executing merchandising strategies to increase sales and maximize profits. As a merchandiser, you will work closely with buyers, suppliers, and other team members to ensure the timely delivery of products that meet our customers' needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies for the Indian market
- Monitor market trends and consumer preferences to identify potential opportunities
- Source new products from Indian suppliers that align with our brand image and quality standards
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Collaborate with buyers to plan product assortments based on sales data and market trends
- Create purchase orders, track inventory levels, and manage product allocations
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure proper product display and availability
- Analyze sales data to identify areas of improvement and take necessary actions
- Liaise with marketing team to plan promotions, displays, and events for the Indian market
- Communicate with customers to gather feedback on products and make necessary adjustments

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a merchandiser or similar role in the retail industry
- Knowledge of the Indian market trends, consumer behavior, and cultural preferences
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in using Excel or other data analysis tools
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
