Junior Accountant



Our accounting firm in Faro is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team. We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow in their career. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with financial reports, preparing tax returns, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 1 year of experience working in an accounting role. This position offers a salary of $1500 and visa sponsorship for non-native applicants. Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Review and analyze financial data
- Prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Collaborate with senior accountants on various projects
- Keep up-to-date with accounting regulations and standards

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an accounting role
- Knowledge of accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
