Accountant for Contract Work in Faro

We are in need of a qualified Accountant to join our team in Faro on a contract basis. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing balance sheets and profit and loss statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
- Reconcile bank statements on a regular basis
- Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist with tax preparation and filing as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Accountant
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
