Indian Language Interpreter in Akron, Ohio


We are hiring an Indian Language Interpreter to join our team in Akron, Ohio. As an interpreter, you will provide language support and interpretation services to our clients who primarily speak Indian languages. This is a part-time position with flexible hours that can accommodate your studies or other commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpretation and translation services from English to your native Indian language and vice versa
- Interpret conversations, meetings, and events for clients who have limited English proficiency
- Assist with written translations of documents and materials as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive information
- Conduct research as necessary to maintain up-to-date knowledge of specialized terminology in various fields

Requirements:
- Native speaker of an Indian language (Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, etc.)
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret accurately between both languages without adding personal opinions or biases
- Excellent listening skills and ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
- Strong research skills to maintain knowledge of specialized terminology
- Biometric passport or U.S. citizenship/residency required for security clearance purposes

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an interpreter or translator is a plus but not required
- Experience working with diverse populations and sensitivity to cultural differences
in communication styles
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events or client needs
