Smelter Operator



We are hiring a skilled Smelter Operator to join our team in Malindi. As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the smelting process, which involves extracting metals from their ores through heating and melting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor smelting equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare raw materials for smelting by sorting, crushing, and blending them according to specifications.
- Load materials into furnaces or kilns for melting or refining.
- Monitor temperature levels and adjust equipment settings as needed.
- Conduct quality control checks on the molten metal to ensure it meets required standards.
- Record production data and maintain accurate logs of materials used, temperatures, and other important information.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the smelting process.
- Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working in a smelting plant preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate complex machinery.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to smelting operations.
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Attention to detail with strong recordkeeping skills.

Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
