Merchandiser - English Speaking (Mombasa, Kenya)


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for creating and implementing effective strategies to increase sales and profitability for our company. This position requires excellent communication skills in English and a strong understanding of the Indian market.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement merchandising plans to drive sales and meet company goals
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for growth
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate pricing, product assortments, and promotional opportunities
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment or markdowns as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and operations to ensure cohesive execution of merchandising plans
- Conduct regular store visits to assess product placement, displays, and overall presentation
- Utilize data analysis tools to track sales performance and make informed decisions on future merchandising strategies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in merchandising or retail management role
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages such as Hindi or Gujarati is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of 1200$ per month.
