Survey Technician
Location: Sheduva, Kenya


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Survey Technician to join our team in Sheduva, Kenya. As a Survey Technician, you will assist the land surveyor in conducting field surveys and collecting data on land features and boundaries. You will also be responsible for maintaining surveying equipment, creating maps and reports, and providing support to the survey team.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the land surveyor in conducting field surveys using various tools and equipment
- Collect data on land features, boundaries, and other relevant information
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure accurate measurements
- Create maps and reports using collected data
- Provide support to the survey team as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and according to project specifications
- Adhere to safety procedures at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferably with courses in math, science, and drafting)
- Previous experience as a survey technician or similar role is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with surveying tools such as GPS receivers, total stations, levels, etc.
- Proficient in using computer software for data collection and mapping (e.g. AutoCAD)
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Salary:
$900 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Contract Type:
6-month contract with possibility of extension based on performance
