Land Surveyor Assistant

The Land Surveyor Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed land surveyor to assist with various field and office tasks related to land surveying. This is a contract job suitable for students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience and developing their skills in the field of land surveying. The position is based in Muharraq, Bahrain.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with setting up and operating survey equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collectors
- Conduct surveys and collect data on various types of land, including topographic, boundary, and construction sites
- Help prepare accurate field notes, sketches, and other documentation
- Perform basic calculations to determine distances, angles, elevations, and areas
- Assist with drafting plans and maps using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Maintain survey equipment and perform regular calibration checks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in land surveying or related field preferred
- Basic knowledge of land surveying principles and techniques
- Familiarity with survey equipment such as total stations and GPS receivers is an asset
- Proficiency in using CAD software is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Salary: $1300 per month
