Facade Engineer



As a Facade Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of building facades in Greenland. Your expertise in structural engineering and knowledge of local building codes will ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of these structures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to develop facade designs that meet project requirements and budget constraints
- Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and determine feasibility of proposed designs
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations for facade components such as curtain walls, windows, and cladding systems
- Review supplier proposals and select appropriate materials for construction
- Oversee the installation process to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to identify any defects or issues during construction
- Address any design or construction challenges in a timely manner to keep the project on track
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in facade design and construction management
- Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g. ETABS), AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Greenland
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Danish or Greenlandic is a plus)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1300/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Greenland
