Metal Fabricator

A metal fabricator is responsible for creating and repairing metal structures, such as fences, gates, railings, and furniture. They use a variety of tools and techniques to cut, shape, and join different types of metal materials. This role requires strong attention to detail and precision in order to produce high-quality finished products.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or other design specifications
- Measure and mark out materials according to design plans
- Use various tools such as saws, shears, bending machines, and welding equipment to cut and shape metal
- Join pieces together through welding, bolting, or soldering
- Smooth out rough edges or imperfections using grinders or sanders
- Inspect finished products for quality control
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working with heavy machinery
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a metal fabricator or similar role
- Technical knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measuring tools (e.g. calipers)
- Familiarity with a variety of hand tools (e.g. hammers, wrenches) and power tools (e.g. drills)
- Ability to operate welding equipment safely and effectively
- Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately
- Physical stamina for standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy materials
- Attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Location: This position is located in Greenland.

Salary: The salary for this position is $1300 per month.
