Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Greenland. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with regulations and laws, and providing financial analysis and guidance to management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial activities of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations and maintain accurate records
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and tax returns
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management
- Monitor cash flow and manage accounts payable/receivable processes
- Develop and implement internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial operations
- Collaborate with other departments to support business goals and initiatives
- Train junior accounting staff on best practices and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, laws, and regulations in Greenland
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Fluency in English (knowledge of Greenlandic is a plus)

Salary: 1600$ per month without accommodation.
Location: Greenland.
