Part-Time Executive Chef

We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team on a part-time basis in beautiful Greenland. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually stunning dishes for our guests, while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan menus and create new dishes that reflect local ingredients and flavors
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food items
- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety regulations
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Keep up to date with industry trends and incorporate them into menu planning
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Passion for creating innovative dishes using fresh, local ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Education/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Proficient in English; knowledge of local language is an asset
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $900 per week for this part-time position. In addition, accommodations will be provided.
