Head Pastry Chef
We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry department in the beautiful city of Greenland. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts, as well as strong leadership skills to manage and train a team of pastry chefs.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new dessert menu items that align with our restaurant's vision and standards
- Oversee all aspects of the pastry department, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring quality control
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs to maintain high standards of excellence
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of desserts
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment according to food safety standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a fine dining restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of ingredients, flavor profiles, and pastry techniques
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Degree or certification in pastry arts is preferred but not required
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
