Database Administrator
A database administrator is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of a database. They ensure that data is organized and easily accessible to authorized users. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain database software
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
- Create and implement backup and recovery plans
- Manage user access levels and permissions
- Develop and implement data standards, policies, and procedures
- Ensure data security by regularly performing audits
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to optimize database functionality
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a database administrator or in a similar role
- Proficient in SQL language for managing databases
- Experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Strong understanding of database design principles
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, and integrity processes
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Copenhagen (candidates must be eligible to work in Denmark)
