Junior Accountant
As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. You will work closely with the senior accountant to prepare financial statements, analyze data, and handle day-to-day accounting activities. This position is based in Copenhagen and does not offer accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Prepare tax returns and assist with tax planning
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or trends
- Keep up-to-date with accounting regulations and procedures
- Communicate with clients or vendors regarding payment or billing inquiries
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 1+ years of experience in accounting or finance (internship experience will be considered)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred:
- Biometric passport for ease of travel between countries (not a strict requirement)
- Familiarity with Danish tax laws (not a strict requirement)
Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)
