Interpreter for International Students in Faroe Islands


We are seeking a skilled and fluent interpreter to assist our international students in Faroe Islands. As an interpreter, you will serve as a vital link between our students and the local community, facilitating communication and ensuring a smooth transition to their new environment. This is a full-time position with an attractive salary of 1200$ per month, along with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services to international students in various settings, including academic classes, social events, and meetings with local authorities
- Translate documents and written communications as needed
- Help students navigate cultural differences and understand local customs and traditions
- Assist with administrative tasks related to student visas, residence permits, and other necessary documents
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for our diverse student body

Requirements:
- Fluency in English and at least one other language (preferably a language spoken by our international students)
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to convey complex ideas accurately
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the challenges faced by international students
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience as an interpreter or working with international populations is preferred

Location:
This position is located in Faroe Islands, an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark. We welcome applicants from all nationalities who are legally authorized to work in Faroe Islands.
