Head Chef - Faroe Islands
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team in Faroe Islands. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, creating new and innovative menu items, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Create and design new menu items, taking into consideration local ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen at all times
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed to maintain profitability for the restaurant
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, local ingredients, and food safety regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, management, and customers
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Certificate or degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or higher position in fine dining restaurants
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Danish or Faroese language would be an asset)
- Must be eligible to work in Faroe Islands without sponsorship
Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
