Head Chef - Aarhus, Denmark


We are in search of a highly skilled Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in Aarhus, Denmark. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing our menu, overseeing food preparation and maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene. You will also be involved in managing kitchen staff, inventory control, and menu planning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and create new menu items based on local ingredients and current food trends
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation to ensure quality and consistency
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts, delegating tasks and providing guidance when needed
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations during service
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections to maintain cleanliness and organization

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to create innovative menu items while also adhering to budget constraints
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A creative mindset with a passion for using local ingredients in your dishes

Education & Certifications:
A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in food safety or culinary arts are also desirable.
