Head Chef - Scandinavian Cuisine (Aarhus, Denmark)


We are seeking an experienced Head Chef with a passion for Scandinavian cuisine to join our team in Aarhus, Denmark. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. You must have a creative flair and be able to develop innovative dishes that showcase the unique flavors and ingredients of Scandinavian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement seasonal menus that reflect the changing availability of local produce
- Supervise all kitchen staff and ensure that they are trained and motivated to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring that dishes are cooked to perfection and served in a timely manner
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a fine dining restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of Scandinavian cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create unique dishes while also maintaining traditional flavors
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff, management, and customers
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience as a professional chef
- Certification in food safety and sanitation practices
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Danish is a plus

Salary: 1200$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Aarhus, Denmark (relocation assistance may be provided)
