Interpreter - Part Time



We are in need of a skilled interpreter to join our team in Aalborg on a part-time basis. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating effective communication between individuals who speak different languages. Your role will involve interpreting spoken or written messages accurately and conveying the meaning and tone of the original message in a culturally sensitive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interpret spoken or written messages accurately and convey the meaning and tone of the original message
- Provide interpreting services in various settings, such as meetings, conferences, interviews, and other events
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Conduct research on relevant terminology and prepare glossaries or reference materials as needed
- Clarify cultural misunderstandings for clients as necessary
- Follow ethical standards and codes of conduct for interpreters
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt arrival at appointments and efficient use of time during assignments

Requirements:

- Fluent proficiency in at least two languages, including English and another language (preferably Danish)
- Excellent listening, comprehension, and communication skills
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to different communication styles
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if needed

Salary: 1300$ per month (part-time)

City: Aalborg (preference)
