Head Chef - Aalborg, Denmark
As a Head Chef at our restaurant in Aalborg, Denmark, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and creating delicious and visually appealing dishes. Your main goal will be to ensure the overall quality and consistency of our food, while also managing the kitchen staff and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that are in line with current food trends and meet customer preferences
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work area at all times
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop new menu items or special offerings
- Manage food costs by minimizing waste and controlling portion sizes
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of various culinary techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
- Strong organizational abilities with an eye for detail
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required
