Part-Time Preservation Architect in Esbjerg, Denmark
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis in Esbjerg, Denmark. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, ensuring they retain their cultural and architectural significance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans and strategies, including recommendations for necessary repairs or renovations
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure preservation work is carried out effectively and safely
- Source and select appropriate materials for restoration projects, considering historical accuracy and sustainability
- Monitor progress of preservation projects and make necessary adjustments as needed
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Document all preservation work for historical record keeping purposes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Extensive knowledge of historical architecture styles, conservation practices, and relevant building materials
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Must have own visa or be eligible to work in Denmark
