Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations of our upscale restaurant located in the beautiful city of Esbjerg. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and managing kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating menu items and developing new recipes
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety regulations
- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of food items, following recipes and plating guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen area at all times
- Collaborate with other team members to continuously improve menu offerings and ensure customer satisfaction
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other team members
- Food safety certification is preferred but not required
Salary:
