Head Chef - Esbjerg, Denmark
As the Head Chef at our restaurant in Esbjerg, Denmark, you will oversee all aspects of our kitchen operations and lead a team of talented chefs. Your main responsibility will be creating and executing unique and delicious menus that showcase the best of Danish cuisine while also incorporating international flavors.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop creative and seasonal menus that use fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently produced
- Monitor food costs and maintain inventory levels to stay within budget
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events or promotions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in an accredited institution
- In-depth knowledge of Danish cuisine and techniques, as well as international cuisines
- Familiarity with food cost control methods and inventory management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Working conditions:
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1000$ per week. You will work approximately 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. Our restaurant is located in the bustling city center of Esbjerg, offering easy access to public transportation.
