Carpenter - Woodworking Specialist
As a Carpenter - Woodworking Specialist, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. You will work on a variety of projects including building frames, installing doors and windows, constructing furniture and cabinets, and repairing damaged structures. Your attention to detail and ability to work with precision will be essential in ensuring high-quality work that meets client specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to blueprints or drawings
- Cut materials using hand or power tools such as saws, chisels, or routers
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, trimmings, or hardware
- Follow safety procedures when working with tools and equipment
- Repair existing structures by replacing damaged wood pieces or reinforcing weak areas
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within designated timelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role
- Proficient in using hand and power tools related to carpentry work
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Excellent math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods of time
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Experience working as a carpenter in the construction industry
- Certification in carpentry or related field
Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
