Database Administrator

We are hiring a Database Administrator to join our team in Horsens. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our database systems, ensuring data security, and providing technical support to users.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Ensure data backup and recovery procedures are in place
- Implement data security measures to protect against unauthorized access
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions
- Provide technical support to users and assist with data retrieval and analysis
- Collaborate with other IT team members on database-related projects

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience working with databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Familiarity with database design principles and query optimization techniques
- Knowledge of data backup/recovery methods and disaster recovery procedures
- Experience with data security protocols (encryption, access control)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python) for automating tasks
- Experience working with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database)

Salary: $1000 per month. This position is open to all genders. Applicants must have a biometric passport or be willing to obtain one. Prior experience is not required; we are willing to train the right candidate who shows a strong aptitude for database administration.
