Preservation Architect - Utena, Lithuania
We are hiring a Preservation Architect to join our team in Utena, Lithuania. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while also ensuring they meet modern building codes and safety standards. This is a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects in one of the oldest cities in Lithuania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits and surveys to assess the condition of historical buildings and structures
- Creating preservation plans that balance preservation requirements with modern building codes and safety standards
- Collaborating with engineers and construction teams to ensure preservation plans are properly executed
- Researching historical techniques and materials for restoration projects
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for preservation projects
- Monitoring the progress of preservation projects and making adjustments as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture or historic preservation
- Knowledge of historical techniques, materials, and building codes
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other architectural software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Preservation Architecture or Historic Preservation
- Experience working on restoration projects in Europe or specifically Lithuania
- Fluency in Lithuanian language
Salary: $900 per month (negotiable based on experience)
