Preservation Architect
A reputable architectural firm in Utena is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while adhering to local regulations and standards. This position requires extensive knowledge of preservation techniques, materials, and technologies, as well as strong project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine preservation needs
- Develop detailed preservation plans and proposals
- Provide technical expertise in the restoration of historic buildings, including masonry, carpentry, and roofing
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Coordinate with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for restoration projects
- Conduct on-site inspections during construction to ensure work is completed according to plans
- Maintain accurate records of project progress and expenses
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in preservation architecture or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of preservation techniques, materials, and technologies
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Professional licensure or certification in Preservation Architecture
- Experience working with historic building regulations and standards
- Knowledge of local historical architecture styles
- Fluency in Lithuanian language
Salary: $1200 per month
Location: Utena, Lithuania (Preference for Canadian or Nepali candidates)
