Entry-level Preservation Architect
Location: Roskilde, Denmark
As an Entry-level Preservation Architect, you will work alongside experienced architects and historic preservation experts to assist with the preservation, restoration, and maintenance of historic buildings and structures in the beautiful city of Roskilde. This role offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to break into the field of historic preservation.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on historical buildings and structures to determine their significance and condition
- Assisting with the preparation of reports, drawings, and plans for restoration projects
- Participating in site visits and inspections to assess the condition of historic buildings
- Collaborating with a team to develop preservation plans and strategies
- Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and plans
- Communicating with clients, contractors, and government agencies throughout the restoration process
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Strong interest in historic preservation and architecture
- Excellent research skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp) is preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (Danish language skills are a plus)
- Valid work visa for Denmark (visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates)
