Junior Preservation Architect

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Preservation Architect to join our team in Roskilde, Denmark. As a Junior Preservation Architect, you will work closely with senior architects and preservation specialists to assist in the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of historic buildings and structures. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to gain experience in the field of preservation architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct research and analysis on historic buildings and structures
- Assist in the development of preservation plans and strategies
- Prepare drawings, diagrams, and other visual aids for presentations
- Collaborate with a team to develop design solutions that meet preservation standards
- Conduct site visits to assess building conditions and document findings
- Assist in the preparation of specifications and cost estimates for preservation projects
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout project lifecycles

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Familiarity with historic preservation principles and guidelines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant software programs
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of Danish architecture is preferred but not required
