Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of historic buildings and structures in Roskilde. Your main objective will be to ensure that these structures retain their original architectural integrity while also making them suitable for contemporary use.
In this role, you will work closely with clients, contractors, and government agencies to develop preservation plans and oversee the execution of restoration projects. You will also conduct detailed assessments of historic structures to determine their condition and identify necessary repairs or upgrades.
To excel in this role, you must have a degree in architecture or a related field, as well as at least 2 years of experience in historic preservation. You should also possess strong project management skills and have a thorough understanding of building codes and regulations related to historic preservation.
As this is a highly specialized field, knowledge of building materials and techniques from different eras is essential. Additionally, proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is required to create accurate documentation and plans for preservation projects.
This position offers a salary of $900 per month with accommodation provided. Candidates with biometric passports will be given preference due to the international nature of some preservation projects.
