Junior Executive Chef
We are seeking a Junior Executive Chef to join our team in Roskilde, Denmark. As a Junior Executive Chef, you will support the head chef in overseeing the kitchen operations and managing a team of kitchen staff. This is an ideal role for someone who is passionate about food and has recently graduated from culinary school or has minimal experience in a professional kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation and cooking, ensuring quality and consistency
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks as needed
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the head chef to create new dishes and improve existing ones
- Participate in budget planning and cost control measures
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma from a culinary school preferred
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen is an asset but not required
- Passion for food and creativity in menu planning
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure
