Junior Librarian

We are hiring a Junior Librarian for our library in Roskilde, Denmark. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting in the organization and maintenance of library materials, providing customer service to patrons, and supporting library programs and events. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for books and knowledge, who is looking to gain experience in the field of librarianship.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing library materials including checking books in and out, shelving books, and organizing collections
- Provide excellent customer service to library patrons by answering questions, recommending resources, and assisting with technology use
- Support library programs and events through planning, promotion, and implementation
- Help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the library space
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge of library operations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Prior experience working in a library setting is a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with library cataloging systems and technology
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must have a valid biometric passport
