Head Chef
We are searching for a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team at our restaurant in Roskilde. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operation, including menu planning, food preparation, and managing kitchen staff. Your creativity and passion for cooking will be essential in creating unique and delicious dishes that will delight our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus according to seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high quality and presentation standards are maintained
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in the kitchen
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new dishes and specials
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar leadership role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Degree in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred but not required
