Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the city of Odense. Your main duties will include conducting site surveys, creating preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects. You will also be responsible for obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preservation architecture
- Knowledge of historical building materials and construction techniques
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys to assess the condition of historical buildings
- Create preservation plans that outline necessary repairs and restoration work
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Oversee restoration projects, ensuring adherence to preservation plans and timelines
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure the quality of work
- Monitor project budgets and make adjustments as needed
- Communicate with clients regarding project progress and potential issues
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is being carried out according to plan
- Keep up-to-date on changes in building codes and regulations related to preservation architecture
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with a salary of $1700 per month. You will be working primarily on-site at historical buildings in Odense, but may also spend some time in an office setting. Accommodation is not provided.
