Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Odense, Denmark. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire pastry department and creating delicious and visually appealing desserts for our restaurant. Your main duties will include developing new menu items, ensuring quality control, and managing inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new desserts and pastries that reflect the restaurant's style and concept
- Oversee all aspects of the pastry department including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and controlling costs
- Train and supervise pastry staff to ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to create a cohesive menu that balances sweet flavors with savory dishes
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our dessert offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a fine dining restaurant
- Degree or certification from a culinary school is preferred
- Strong knowledge of different pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations
- Ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment
- Attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and designs
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1700 per month.
