Preservation Architect - Kolding, Denmark
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Kolding, Denmark. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for the preservation and restoration of historical buildings and structures. Your main goal will be to ensure that these buildings retain their original character and significance while also complying with modern building codes and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine preservation needs
- Develop plans for the restoration and preservation of historical sites
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to implement preservation plans
- Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with preservation standards
- Conduct research on historical building materials, techniques, and processes
- Prepare reports documenting the preservation process and outcomes
- Advise on proper maintenance and upkeep of historical buildings
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations regarding historic preservation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in historic preservation projects
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, styles, materials, and techniques
- Excellent project management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluent in English
- Experience working with women is preferred
Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
