Junior Librarian

We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Junior Librarian to join our team at the Kolding Public Library. As a Junior Librarian, you will assist in managing the library's collection, providing customer service to library patrons, and organizing and promoting library events and programs. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone with a passion for books and a desire to learn about library operations.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing, cataloging, and shelving library materials
- Provide customer service to patrons, including helping them find materials and answering questions
- Assist in planning and executing library events and programs
- Keep track of library inventory and order new materials when needed
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment in the library
- Learn about library policies and procedures to effectively assist patrons

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people
- Passion for reading and knowledge of popular books in various genres
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency with computer systems used for cataloging and tracking materials
