A contract fitter is responsible for assembling, installing and repairing various mechanical systems and components. They work with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure proper fit and function of parts. Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

- Perform regular maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure efficient operation
- Troubleshoot any issues with machinery or equipment

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a fitter or similar role
- Technical degree or vocational training in mechanics or a related field preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Strong mechanical aptitude with good hand-eye coordination
- Physical strength and stamina for lifting heavy materials as needed
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques is a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Must be able to work well under pressure
