Entry-Level Librarian in Lisbon



We are excited to offer an opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level individual to join our library team in Lisbon. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our collection of books, periodicals, and other materials, as well as assisting library patrons with research and reference inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Catalogue and classify new materials according to library standards
- Create and maintain accurate records of library inventory
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing resources
- Provide reference services and conduct research for patrons as needed
- Plan and organize library events and programs for all ages
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the library space
- Collaborate with other staff members on projects and initiatives

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of library cataloguing systems
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1700 per month.

This position is based in Lisbon, Portugal. Accommodation is not provided.
