Junior JAVA Developer - Contract Position (Washington, D.C.)


We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior JAVA Developer to join our team in Washington, D.C. This is a contract position that offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience and enhance your skills in a fast-paced environment.

As a Junior JAVA Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications using Java programming language. You will work closely with senior developers to design, code, test, and implement new features and enhancements. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience in JAVA development
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong understanding of SQL and database technologies
- Experience with web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus

Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality software applications using Java programming language
- Collaborate with team members to design technical solutions that meet business requirements
- Write efficient and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency
