Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for the preservation and restoration of historic buildings and structures in Lisbon, Portugal. You will work closely with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the proper maintenance and protection of these cultural treasures. Your duties will include conducting site surveys, developing preservation plans, coordinating with contractors and craftsmen, and overseeing the restoration process. You will also be responsible for obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities.
To excel in this role, you should have a degree in architecture or a related field, as well as experience working on preservation projects. You must also possess a strong understanding of architectural history and preservation techniques. Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is also important.
This is a full-time position that does not require prior experience. We offer a competitive salary of $900 per month, plus accommodation in Lisbon for non-Portuguese candidates. In addition, you must have a valid biometric passport for travel purposes.
