Executive Chef
As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our high-end restaurant in São Paulo. You will lead a team of talented chefs, create and implement menus, and ensure the quality and consistency of all dishes. Your creativity and passion for food will be key in developing new and innovative dishes that meet our customers' expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and manage a team of chefs, sous chefs, and kitchen staff
- Develop menus that appeal to our diverse customer base while also staying true to our restaurant's concept
- Create new dishes and update existing ones to keep up with industry trends
- Ensure the quality and consistency of all dishes by conducting regular taste tests
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with other departments such as front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for customers
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also respecting traditional recipes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of food cost control and inventory management
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Fluent in English (Portuguese is a plus)
