Interpreter - English/Urdu


We have an immediate opening for a skilled Interpreter to join our team in Gujrat. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient interpretation services between English and Urdu speakers. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month, without accommodation. We are looking for someone who is fluent in both English and Urdu, with excellent communication and listening skills. The ideal candidate should also have knowledge of cultural differences and be able to adapt their interpretation accordingly. Experience in interpreting legal, medical, or business meetings is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpretation services between English and Urdu speakers
- Listen carefully to the speaker's words and accurately translate them into the target language
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Understand the cultural differences between the two languages and adjust interpretation accordingly
- Use specialist dictionaries, reference books, and other resources to aid in interpretation
- Interpret during meetings, conferences, court hearings, medical appointments or any other setting as needed
- Ensure that all parties involved understand the message being conveyed
- Take notes during interpretation if needed to ensure accuracy

Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and Urdu (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven experience as an interpreter, preferably in legal, medical or business settings
- Knowledge of cultural differences between English and Urdu speakers
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong memory retention skills to accurately convey messages
- Flexibility to work irregular hours if needed
- Own visa preferred
