English-Speaking Librarian in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait

We are seeking a qualified and experienced English-speaking Librarian to join our team in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. As a librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library resources and services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cataloging and classifying library materials using appropriate systems
- Maintaining accurate records of library transactions and inventory
- Assisting patrons with locating materials and providing research assistance
- Managing library budgets and purchasing new materials as needed
- Developing and promoting library programs and events for all ages
- Ensuring the library is clean, organized, and welcoming to all patrons
- Staying up-to-date with current trends in library science and technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Fluent in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a librarian
- Knowledge of cataloging systems (e.g. Dewey Decimal, Library of Congress)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1100$ per month for this full-time position. Additionally, accommodation will be provided for the successful candidate.
