Pastry Chef
Location: Porto, Portugal
We are seeking a talented Pastry Chef to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious pastries and desserts for our customers. You will work closely with the kitchen team to develop new menus and recipes, and ensure that all pastries meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of pastries, such as cakes, tarts, cookies, and breads.
- Develop new recipes and menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Ensure that all pastries are made with high-quality ingredients and meet food safety standards.
- Train pastry assistants on proper techniques and recipes.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and coordinate dessert offerings with main courses.
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry section in the kitchen.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
- Knowledge of various pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and recipes.
- Creativity and passion for creating unique desserts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time-management skills to ensure timely delivery of pastries for events or daily service.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other members of the kitchen team.
Education:
A degree or certification in pastry arts or culinary arts is preferred but not required. Previous experience working in a bakery or restaurant is highly desirable.
Salary:
We are offering a salary of 1000$ per month for this position.
